We strongly encourage you to submit an application. This is if you meet the eligibility standards as well as any other prerequisites. Gender, age, sexual orientation, religious beliefs and marital or parental status are not at the core of this scholarship.

Eligibility Requirements for fully funded Chevening scholarships 2022-23
It is imperative that you confirm that you satisfy the eligibility criteria before you begin your application. This is because they will not consider applications that do not fulfill these requirements.
You must meet the following requirements in order to be eligible for a Chevening Scholarship:
(1) You must be a citizen of a Chevening program-eligible country or territory.
(2) After the completion of your award, you are required to return to the country in which you were born for at least two years.
(3) You must have finished all of the requirements for an undergraduate degree by the time you submit your application. This is to make you eligible for admission to a postgraduate program at an institution in the UK. This is normally similar to an upper second-class 2:1 honors degree in the UK. However, this might vary depending on the course that you choose and the university that you choose to attend.
(4) You must have a minimum of two years’ working experience, which is equal to 2,800 hours.
(5) By July 13th, 2023, you must have submitted an application to three distinct suitable university courses in the UK and have obtained an unconditional offer from one of these selections.
Courses for the Fully Funded Chevening Scholarships 2022-23
You will be required to choose three unique courses for your master’s degree. These could be three different courses at the same school or three related courses at no more than three different colleges.
When applying for a Chevening Award, applicants are required to select three different courses. This ensures that you will have other options available to you in the event that you are not awarded a spot on the initial course option that you select for any reason.
It also helps our evaluators see more clearly what you want to do with your career, and they may suggest that your second or third choice of course would be a better choice for a Chevening Award.
Take your time deciding between which three courses to choose. After you have submitted your application, you will not be able to change your course selections under any circumstances, unless you are given permission to do so at the interview stage.
You will need to submit a separate application to the institution for each of the courses that you are interested in taking. Apply as soon as you can if you want to increase your chances of getting a spot. To be awarded the scholarship, you need to get an offer to take one of your preferred courses.

Applicants Shortlisted for Interview
After going through all of the applications that were sent to them, the embassy or high commission will create a shortlist of applicants to which they will extend an invitation to participate in an interview. After that, you will start receiving notifications. “If you’ve made it this far, you deserve a congratulation. Get ready for the interview you have.” This will take place at the beginning or middle of February 2023.
Submission of References and Education Documents
Those who have been chosen for an interview will be asked to provide two references and proof of their education before the date of their interview.

Please be aware that Chevening will not make any attempts to communicate with your referees in order to obtain or upload references. The applicant is in charge of getting references and uploading them on behalf of their referees.
After some time has passed, the British embassy or high commission may verify the information provided by contacting your referees. We strongly suggest that all applicants upload two references to the online application system well in advance of the deadline. If there are special circumstances, we will only accept references that are brought to the embassy or high commission in person during the interview process.
It is possible that the British embassy or high commission in your native country will ask you to bring hard copies of the original references you provided with you to the interview. If you are chosen for an interview, you will be told more about what to do about this.
