Woman who told cops she was 'too good-looking' to be arrested confessed to killing her mom in new audio

A Las Vegas woman who trended online months ago when she claimed she was arrested for being “too good-looking,” and accused of killing her mom last week confessed to the crime in a newly released audio.

Hend Bustami, 28, was identified as the young woman that was heard saying she “murdered” her mother while pleading for help in a recently made public audio obtained by KLAS-TV.

According to a press release, the call came in to the emergency dispatch center of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department at around 2:34 a.m. on Wednesday.

Answering the 911 call, the dispatcher asked the caller how they might be of assistance.

Caller: “I think I just killed my mommy.”

Dispatcher: “Why do you think you killed your mom?”

Caller: “Because I did. I murdered her.”

Dispatcher: “Okay, what did you do to her?”

Caller: “I killed her.”

The dispatcher tried to keep the caller on the line by pressing for further information.

Dispatcher: “How did you kill her, you said something about a table?”

Caller: “I broke the table on her head and I cut her neck off.”

Dispatcher: “And you cut what?”

Caller: “Her neck off.”

Call ends.

First responders arrived at the house at June Flower Drive and discovered an adult female inside who was unresponsive and looked to have “several lacerations,” according to the news release.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene by the medical personnel called to the residence. She was later identified as Afaf Hussanen, age 61.

Evidence, according to detectives with the department’s Homicide Section, shows that the woman “was involved in a verbal argument with her daughter, later identified as 28-year-old Hend Bustami,” just before her death.

Bustami murdered her mother and fled the scene and the state, according to the authorities.

According to investigators, officers from the Barstow Police Department and the California Highway Patrol found and captured Bustami in California not long after the victim’s body was found. When authorities enacted a traffic stop, they said that she was “soaked in blood” and once again confessed to killing her mother.

Bustami allegedly admitted to stabbing her mother with “shards of glass” during an interrogation session with investigators. Bustami claimed that she and her mother were fighting at that time.

According to jail records, Bustami is currently being held in the San Bernadino County West Valley Detention Center on the charge of being a fugitive from justice.

She is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday and is awaiting extradition back to Nevada, where she is expected to face open murder charges in connection with the death of her mother, according to the authorities.
